The Early Years Framework is a framework used nationwide. At Beyond the Burrow Family Daycare we have incorporated the EYLF into our philosophy and program. Our program supports learning through play, combined with planned experiences and observations of your child.
Along with this each child has their own daycare portfolio via StoryPark, which consists of observations, individual program plans, and information collected through out your child’s journey with Beyond the Burrow Family Daycare.

Please ensure your child has the following.

Change of clothes: We sometimes have messy play, toileting accidents or just go jump in the odd puddle, so a change of clothes is essential. The weather may change during the day so please pack for hot and cold days.

Hat for outdoor play: Please ensure children bring a wide-brim hat. I provide sun cream for the children. If your child requires a specific sun cream due to reactions, parents will need to supply their own sun cream.

Comfortable shoes: Weather permitting, we like to play outside a lot so comfortable shoes for running, and gumboots for playing in the garden are ideal. Our indoor area is a shoe-free zone, children can wear slippers if they so wish.

Meals: Please provide morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea as required. I can reheat food if required. Please keep lollies and treats for home and only provide water or milk for drinking.

Nappies (if applicable): Please provide sufficient for the day, I do carry spare at additional cost.

Bottles: Please ensure bottles are measured up prior to care

Toys: Please limit the toys from home, as I cannot accept responsibility for lost/damaged toys. A favourite teddy for sleeptime is fine.

Medication: Chemist labels are required for all medication, Asthma puffers, and EpiPen’s. Please ensure this is handed to me and not left in your child’s bag and your child has an up-to-date action plan, Medical Condition Risk Minimisation and Communication Plan. Please note I do not administer Panadol and will only administer the end of an antibiotic cycle.

Child Care Subsidy: Assistance to help you with the cost of childcare.

Please note educators do not have access to the government side (CCS) and this is the responsibility of the parent or guardian. CCS is an agreement between Parents and the Government of Australia.
Families must meet eligibility criteria to receive CCS.

The amount of CCS a family can get depends on their circumstances.
Services Australia looks at:
• a family’s income
• how many children a family has in care
• the age of the children in care
• a family’s activity level
• immunisation requirements

CCS is paid directly to your childcare provider to reduce the out-of-pocket fees parents pay.
