Beyond the Burrow's Curriculum

At Beyond the Burrow, we offer a warm and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to explore, discover, and learn at their own pace. Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to foster independence, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning, with a strong emphasis on nature-based education and meaningful, play-rich experiences.

We draw inspiration from the nationally recognised Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) – Belonging, Being and Becoming, which guides our approach for children from birth to five years of age. This framework has been thoughtfully integrated into our philosophy, planning, and daily practice, ensuring that each child’s unique learning journey is supported and celebrated.

Learning at Beyond the Burrow is driven by play and curiosity, supported by intentional teaching, rich environments, and strong relationships. Our educators work in close partnership with families and children to provide a holistic and responsive curriculum that nurtures each child’s learning, development, and wellbeing.

Each child at Beyond the Burrow has their own digital portfolio through Storypark, where families can access:

  • Ongoing observations and documentation of learning;
  • Individual program plans;
  • Reflections and updates gathered throughout their journey.

This platform fosters genuine collaboration between families and educators, and ensures your child’s learning is visible, celebrated, and shared.
